Later, Jesus went across Lake Galilee (also known as Lake Tiberias). (2) A great crowd of people followed him because they saw the miraculous signs he did in healing the sick. (3) Jesus went up on the side of the hill and sat there with his followers. (4) It was almost the time for the Jewish Passover festival. (5) Jesus looked up and saw a crowd of people coming toward him. He said to Philip, “Where can we buy enough bread for all these people to eat?” (6) He asked Philip this question to test him. Jesus already knew what he planned to do. (7) Philip answered, “We would all have to work a month to buy enough bread for each person here to have only a little piece!” (8) Another follower there was Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter. Andrew said, (9) “Here is a boy with five loaves of barley bread and two little fish. But that is not enough for so many people.” (10) Jesus said, “Tell everyone to sit down.” This was a place with a lot of grass, and about 5000 men sat down there. (11) Jesus took the loaves of bread and gave thanks for them. Then he gave them to the people who were waiting to eat. He did the same with the fish. He gave them as much as they wanted. (12) They all had plenty to eat. When they finished, Jesus said to his followers, “Gather the pieces of fish and bread that were not eaten. Don’t waste anything.” (13) So they gathered up the pieces that were left. The people had started eating with only five loaves of barley bread. But the followers filled twelve large baskets with the pieces of food that were left. (14) The people saw this miraculous sign that Jesus did and said, “He must be the Prophet who is coming into the world.”

その後、イエスはテベリヤ湖とも呼ばれるガリラヤ湖の向こう岸に向かった――(2)あとには大ぜいの群衆がついてきた。イエスが人知を超えた力で病人を治すのを見たからだ。(3)よっこらしょっと! イエスは丘の上に登り、仲間たちとそこに腰を下ろした。(4)ユダヤ人の過越祭間近だった――(5)イエスが顔をあげると、そこには自分のもとに集まってくるたくさんの人たち――「なあピリポ、これ全員に食べさせるだけのパンをどこで買おうか?」(6)もっとも、これはピリポを試しただけで、どうするかは、もうとっくに決めていた。(7)「こ、こんなに大ぜいじゃ、俺たち全員の月給を足したとしてもパンくず1つしかあげられやしないぞッ!!」(8)すると、使徒の1人であるシモン・ペテロの弟、アンデレが口をはさんだ――(9)「この子が、大麦のパンを5つと魚を2匹持っているが、こんなに大ぜいじゃ、焼け石に水か?」(10)「みんなを座らせてきてくれ!」 「あ、ああ・・・」 群衆の数は男だけでも5000人はいた。 「さぁ、座ってください」 使徒たちの指示に従った人たちは皆、芝生の斜面にどしどし腰をおろした。 (11)ガサっ―― そこで、イエスはパンを取り、神に感謝の祈りをささげてから、みんなに配った。また魚も同様に。みんなほしいだけ食べさせた。(12)――ぷはー無理!もー食べらんない!!! 「さあ、少しもむだにしないよう、あまったパンと魚を集めてくるんだ」(13)言われた通りに余った食べ物を集める仲間たち―― 食べ始めた時には、5つのパンと2匹の魚しかなかったはずが、余った食べ物を集めると、12個のかごがいっぱいになったではないか・・・(14)「あの方こそ、この世に来ると告げられた預言者に違いない!」―― 【聖書:申命記18:15-19より引用】 イエスの行ったキセキを見た人は口々に言った!


The Crowd – You thought Jesus just has “some good teaching”? Jesus brings Overflow!
群衆 ー イエスはただ、「いい教え」を持ってると思ってた?イエスは溢れるほど満たす!

John 7:37-38

37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”


37 さて、祭りの終わりの大いなる日に、イエスは立って、大声で言われた。「だれでも渇いているなら、わたしのもとに来て飲みなさい。38 わたしを信じる者は、聖書が言っているとおりに、その人の心の奥底から、生ける水の川が流れ出るようになる。」

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.




Ephesians 3:16-21

そのあと、ユダヤ人の特別な祭りに参加するためにイエスは神殿の都みやこエルサレムへ向かった――(2)神殿の都エルサレムの<羊門>の近くには池があった。 屋根つきの5つの廊下に囲まれたその池はアラム語でベテスダと呼ばれていた――【またの名をベツサイダ。エルサレムにある神殿の北側に位置する池】(3-4)盲人、足の不自由な人、手足の麻痺した人など、たくさんの病人が池のそばの廊下に横たわっていた―― 【彼らは、水面が揺れ動くのを待っていた。というのは時おり、池に現れる天使が水をかき回すことがあり、その時、最初に池に入った者の病が治ったからだ】(5)そこには、38年間も病で歩けないでいた男もいた。(6)横たわる彼の姿を見たイエスは、長い間どんなに苦しんできたかが見てとれた。「よくなりたいか?」(7)「せっかく水が動いても、水に入れるよう誰もおいらに手を貸してくれないんだ。何とかして入ろうとしている間に、いつもほかの人が先に入っちゃうしね」(8)「立ちあがれ!その敷物を持って歩け!」(9)イエスがそういうと、男の病気が治ったではないか! 男は自分の敷物を持って歩き始めたのだ・・・ これは休日に起きたことだった。

Afterward Jesus returned to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish holy days. (2) Inside the city, near the Sheep Gate, was the pool of Bethesda, with five covered porches. (3) Crowds of sick people—blind, lame, or paralyzed—lay on the porches. (5) One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. (6) When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?” (7) “I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.” (8) Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” (9) Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath
